“We are now on our sixth year since buying our van and Brean Down Caravan Park was certainly the right choice; it is so peaceful at the foot of Brean Down and next to the sea. Whether you walk on the beach, across the Down or around the estuary, we never get fed up of the lovely views or just sit out enjoying the lovely weather. We have made lots of lovely friends the people are lovely. Nicky the owner always keeps us updated on any news and Will, Steve, Oli and Tom are brilliant. We certainly made the right choice.”
Davina and Ray Fell, Plot 19, March 2021

“Woofs and wags from us three Yorkshire Terriers who cannot stop barking about how wonderful we think BDCP is. It’s our very special holiday place and we love it.

“Our human tells us she bought her first van here over thirty years ago when she fell in love with this peaceful, safe site at the foot of the historic Brean Down with its Napoleonic Fort which is owned and managed by the National Trust. She had a choice of a seaside or countryside pitch and she chose the countryside which is great as we can lie on our lovely patio and woof at the cattle in the field behind us which they don’t seem to mind. We have fabulous 180 degree views towards the village of Uphill and can view birds, deer, and hot air balloons across the plains towards the Brean Down Way which, in 2017, opened as part of the National Cycle Network.

“We can also go on our doggy friendly beach all the year round which is unusual and very special in this part of North Somerset. The walks on Brean Down are also doggy friendly although she always keeps us on leads in case we chase the goats and fall off! We don’t mind – the scenery and scents are wonderful!

“Our human says that when she’s bought her vans from this family run company the owner and site management team have been more than helpful. She says there’s never been any pressure and that she gets every help she needs – the whole process is apparently seamless, though we don’t know what that means, but as long as everyone’s happy we are as well! We don’t know what “after sales service” is either but apparently that’s wonderful too! We know she had a wide choice of vans when she bought our present one and decided on three bedrooms so, if we want, we can have a room each!

“We’ve really missed our special holiday place in this last Covid year but Nicky, Will, Steve, Ollie and Tom have kept in touch and we know they’re been working very hard to keep our special site looking as smart as always. They take great pride in everything they do with lots of humour and we can’t wait to get back as soon as possible.

“Right, it’s walkies time now so we’d better get going. Just wish it was at BDCP! Won’t be long now though and we might see you there? Do come and have a woof if you decide to join us.

“Woofs and wags from we three Yorkshire Terriers”
Three Yorkshire Terriers, February 2021

“We have had caravans down in Brean for many years and on our regular walks to the Brean Down had always admired the Brean Down Caravan Park. Clean and tidy, well cared for and nice, quiet and peaceful. No noisy amusements or entertainments with a couple of pleasant cafes at the end of the lane. The staff at the park, even before we got to know them, were always pleasant and would say hello as we passed.

“When we decided to upgrade to a static caravan, we were lucky enough to have the opportunity to purchase one at the Brean Down Caravan Park and now entering our fourth season, have certainly had no regrets. We have made a lot of very good friends on the site, the staff are always very helpful, and Nicky has gone out of her way to ensure that we are always kept up to date with what’s happening regarding the COVID 19/lockdown situation. We love chilling down at our second home, in the countryside, by the sea, doggy friendly beaches, wildlife, lovely walks and cycle rides, with just a short drive to the livelier side of Brean if we want it.

“Roll on the end of lockdown and the new season. Can’t wait!”
Mike and Denise, Plot 227, February 2021

“Brean Down Caravan Park is in an ideal location with wonderful sea and countryside views. The site is very well managed and it is always a pleasure to deal with the professional and friendly staff who go above and beyond to ensure the park is kept immaculate and safe at all times. The perfect place for a holiday home and we are looking forward to spending many more years there.”
Mr & Mrs Goscombe, Plot 63, January 2021

“My husband and I have been caravan owners at Brean Down caravan park for 9 years now. We have the most perfect position overlooking the sea and couldn’t be happier. It is a well run site suitable for both couples and families, and we love the fact it is owners/families only. There is never any trouble on the site and any problems we have had have been sorted out immediately. The staff are always on hand should anyone ever need help, and the park is always clean and well maintained. A friend of ours had a caravan on this site and we were invited there for the day as they knew we were thinking of buying our own holiday home. I thought my mind was made up before I got there that this was not going to be for me…no clubhouse, not close to fair, entertainment, etc….how wrong was I !!!! Seeing so many happy children and their families playing on the beach flying kites, making sandcastles, playing cricket, etc, I knew straight away this was where we wanted to be making memories with our grandchildren. It was a decision that we have never regretted. We have so many happy memories and hope we are lucky enough to be able to enjoy many more happy years with our family here.”
Karen & Gary Jones, Caravan 34, January 2021

“As a team, they provide a great service and I think BDCP is the best maintained, located and presented park in Brean.”
Anthony Green, Plot 76, January 2021

“We bought our first holiday home back in 2010 and we have loved being on the park. Over the years family and ourselves have made many memories so we decided to upgrade – we know the staff have always been friendly and helpful but they excelled themselves with helping us choose and then move. So we look forward to next memories to be made. Brean Down is a lovely site.”
Lesley & Neville Jones, May 2017, Plot 117

“Nicky. Thanks for your prompt efficient service. It was great talking to you about the site. My family have resided on Brean Down Caravan Park since 1973. A teenager at the time the site was obviously very different. Gas mantles for lighting as there was no electric in the caravans and only outside toilets servicing the site. I have obviously witnessed a great number of changes in the last 44 years. The site today is looking great and the staff are always helpful, supportive and friendly. I love the peace and quiet enjoying the balance of my countryside view coupled with the opportunity to cross the road and be on the beach or walk to explore the downs. A great balance on a family friendly site. My thanks to you and all the staff for providing me with a place to feel safe, well cared for and rested.”
Linda Lee, Plot 95, May 2017

“As regular visitors to the area we knew this was a great spot to buy a holiday home. The buying process was stress free – photos of the plot were provided together with copies of standard agreements early on. Once the caravan had been delivered to site more photos were provided before viewing during the closed season. This provided the chance to make an informed and unhurried decision. The park is very well maintained and the site owner and staff friendly and efficient.”
Anthony Green, Plot 76, April 2017

“Just a thank you and a pat on the back for the guys. The buying process went smoothly, the few problems we had with the van were swiftly fixed, and sourcing the steps/walkway for us was the icing on the cake. It is very obvious that they work well as a team on the best park in Brean.”
Mr & Mrs Williams, Plot 91, October 2016

“We decided we wanted to buy a caravan and site it at Brean – we checked the website and contacted Nicky Colls, the owner. From that initial phone call everything just dropped into place. Nicky, Will and Ian, and the rest of the staff are exceptional and very helpful choosing the plot to site your van. You are spoilt for choice between sea views and views over the countryside, and you are looked after every step of the way. The park is clean and well kept and is so relaxing and peaceful. We were advised every step of the way and are now enjoying our first season and would recommend it to anyone.”
Ray and Davina Fell, Plot 19, May 2016

“We are enjoying our third year as a caravan owner at Brean Down Caravan Park. We can thoroughly recommend the park finding it peaceful and a beautiful location. The park staff maintain a neat and tidy park. We always find a welcome and a willingness to help. Park owner Nicola has a vision for the park with an ongoing programme of enhancements to make the park even better for the residents.”
Anne & Michael, Plot 207, April 2016

“Brean Down Caravan Park is a safe, quiet site, with fantastic views of both countryside and the sea. The staff maintain the site extremely well and are always on hand to help. We have been here four years now and love coming down.”
Cath and Ian Smith, Plot 7, June 2015

“We have owned our static at Brean Down now for three years. If you want a quiet relaxing holiday, that’s here. Just across the road is a long sandy beach and such beautiful walks. The little local shops are less than a mile away, and just a little further you have Brean itself with more shops and funfair, there is always plenty to do and most places have live entertainment each night. Our site has top ratings for the high level of maintenance and the grass areas always looks so good, and of course a very helpful and friendly work force. The static vans themselves are all well looked after, so all in all, a very smart site.”
Mrs Sherriff, Plot 221, March 2010

“My family and I have been owners at Brean Down Caravan Park for only a couple of years, but we love the peaceful location of this site and the easy access to the beach. It only takes a few minutes to get up into the main hustle and bustle of Brean by car or 30-40 minutes to walk along the beach.”
